29 June
Dear All,
We would like to wish you a good summer and are grateful for all your support in our first concert season of 'Chamber Music in Little Venice'.
We know that some of our advertising has been at quite short notice, (mostly due to us being new and getting organised), but we are now planning the next season much further ahead.
However, before this, we are also - at very short notice - organising a concert on Tuesday 5th July, at 7.30pm featuring one of the top viola players in the world, Alexander Zemtsov.
Alexander has very kindly offered to play whilst he is visiting London, as he is a close friend and would like to support the Chamber music series.
Do not miss the opportunity to hear what will be a memorable concert where Aleander will play music by J.S. Bach and Hindemith amongst others.
Still only in his early 30's, Alexander has recently left his post as principal violist of the London Philharmonic Orchestra in order to focus on his growing solo and chamber music career, alongside his recent appointment as Viola Professor at the Vienna Conservatoire.
Alexander has already performed countless times at the Wigmore and Carnegie Halls and appears as soloist on recordings with orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra. You will be amazed by how beautiful he can make the viola sound.
We are pleased to announce our first concert of our next season, which will be held on Saturday 17th September, featuring the outstanding violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen and Aleksei Kiseliov (now principal cellist of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra) alongside our artistic directors, Karin Norlen on the viola and Olga Jegunova on piano.
Both concerts will be held at St Mary-on-Paddington Green Church, W2 1LG (Nearest tube station: Edgware Road - Bakerloo line).
Tickets are £10.00 (£8.00 concessions)
Please come and support this wonderful series of concerts.
See you soon,
Karin Norlen + Olga Jegunova
