Revd. Gary Bradley

Born in 1953. After flirting with careers in theatre and at the Bar Gary was ordained to be Assistant Curate of St John’s Wood Church in 1978.

In 1983 he was appointed Vicar of St Saviour Warwick Avenue, and in 1995 to be also Priest in Charge of St Mary-on-Paddington Green. The two churches work together to form The Parish of Little Venice.

He has a keen interest in education, serving for many years as a Member of the City Council Education Committee.He was founder (and Chairman for 15 years) of the Westminster Bereavement Service and continues this interest in supporting work with grief following miscarriage and in developing funeral rites for people with learning disabilities and those who mourn them.

He has been asked by the next Lord Mayor of the City of Westminster, Councillor Cathy Longworth to undertake the Office of Lord Mayor's Chaplain and has accepted this offer.

He is Chaplain to several West End theatres and his interests embrace modern British painting, the work of Stephen Sondheim and the post war wines of the Haut Medoc.

Presently he is Chairman of the Paddington Charitable Estates.
