He
has a keen interest in education, serving for many years
as a Member of the City Council Education Committee.He
was founder (and Chairman for 15 years) of the Westminster
Bereavement Service and continues this interest in supporting
work with grief following miscarriage and in developing
funeral rites for people with learning disabilities and
those who mourn them.
He
has
been asked by the next Lord Mayor of the City of Westminster,
Councillor Cathy Longworth to undertake the Office of
Lord Mayor's Chaplain and has accepted this offer.
He
is Chaplain to several West End theatres and his interests
embrace modern British painting, the work of Stephen Sondheim
and the post war wines of the Haut Medoc.
